Your account: email, password, 2FA and Google sign-in
Verifying your email, recovering a password, end of trial
When you create an account we'll send you a verification link, and you won't be able to sign in until you click it. It proves the inbox is really yours, and that matters, because that's where the renewal reminders, the answers to your requests and the security codes will arrive.
The link lasts 24 hours. If yours has expired, try to sign in and we'll offer to resend it.
On the sign-in screen, hit "I forgot my password". We'll send you a one-time link (Good for an hour) where you can set a new one.
If your request is approved, we'll create an invited account for the email you gave and send you an activation link to set a password. Your subdomain will be tied to that account from day one.
If you already pay for the Starter plan or the Pro plan, nothing, everything will keep working. If not, your account will move to the free plan: your name will keep working with 1 forward and 2 path redirects, with no mailboxes or web hosting, and you'll need to renew it for free every 45 days with one click.
If you had a site published, its files will stay saved and will go live again when you move to a paid plan. The trial is one per account: you'll only get another one if you ever pay for a plan and then move back to free.

Yes, from your account settings. You type the new one, we'll send you a 6-digit code by email and you confirm it. The code lasts 15 minutes and locks if you get it wrong several times, and in that case you ask for another one.
You can do it once every 7 days, and every change is recorded in a history you can see in your own account. Your subdomains don't notice, a username and a subdomain name are different things.

From your account settings. We'll send a link to the new address and another one to the current address, and the change will only apply once you confirm both.
Both links expire after 24 hours. Until you confirm both, your email will still be the usual one and nothing is lost.
Profile & security › Email › Change email
In your account settings, by typing the current one and then the new one twice. If you don't remember the current one, sign out and use "I forgot my password" on the sign-in screen.

Yes, with any of the three. Connect the account from Connections, in your account settings, and from then on you'll be able to get in with it or with your email and password. If you sign in with one of them and that email already has an account here, we'll ask whether you want to join them, and nothing will happen until you say yes. GitHub and GitLab do two jobs, connected they also let you publish private repositories and deploy on every push.
Pick carefully, if you disconnect it and connect it again later only that same account on that provider will be accepted, no other one. And if a connection becomes your only way in, you'll have to set a password before you can disconnect it.
Profile & security › Connections
Yes, from Security in your account settings. You scan the QR with any authenticator app and confirm with the 6-digit code it shows you. From then on, signing in will also ask for that code, on top of your password.
It's mandatory for admins, anyone else can turn it on whenever they want. Ticking "remember this device" when you sign in saves you repeating the code on that browser for 7 days.
Profile & security › Security
The recovery codes you saved when you turned 2FA on. Each one lets you in once, in place of the 6-digit code, with no phone needed.
Once you're in, generate a new set from Security whenever you want. The previous ones will stop working the moment the new ones appear, so keep them somewhere safe before you need them.
Profile & security › Security
From Security, in your account settings. We'll send you a 6-digit code by email, and once you enter it the deletion will be scheduled and you'll have 7 days to cancel it from that same screen if you change your mind.
Once the 7 days are up, the account will disappear forever, along with your subdomains, email forwards, mailboxes and anything you have hosted, and the names will be free again. If you only want to stop paying, cancel the subscription and that's it, we explain it under plan and billing.
