terms of service
These terms govern your use of does.software and any subdomain you request or operate through it. By creating an account or requesting a subdomain and ticking the acceptance box, you agree to everything set out below, so please read it in full. The service is run by [Nombre y apellidos] (tax ID [NIF]), [Calle y número, CP, Barcelona], Spain.
1. what we provide
does.software lets you request a *.does.software subdomain and put it to one or more uses, even all at once on the same name: redirect visitors to a URL (web redirect, with optional per-path rules), forward mail sent to that name to an inbox you control (email forwarding), host a small static website you upload on it (static hosting) or, on Starter or Pro, keep real mailboxes on it. You can also generate QR codes that point to your subdomain. Some names are reviewed by hand and may be approved, rejected, or returned for clarification at our discretion. The service is offered as a convenience and may change, pause, or end at any time.
2. eligibility and your account
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement, and must supply an email address at which you can actually receive mail. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything done through your account. If you request a subdomain as a guest, the email you provide is treated as your point of contact and the same rules apply. Your account carries a unique, public username; you must choose one that does not impersonate others or infringe trademarks, and we may change or reclaim it if it does.
3. plans, trial and billing
Approval is never guaranteed. If your request is approved, the subdomain is activated at no charge and your account will have a permanent free plan, with no card, with reduced limits (One name, 1 email forward and 2 path redirects, with no mailboxes or web hosting), on which you will need to renew each name for free every 45 days. If you don't renew it, the name will stop working and we will hold it for you for 3 days before releasing it. We may offer you by email a free 14-day trial with higher limits and web hosting, which starts the next time you sign in. It is one per account and per person: it will not be offered to an account that looks like that of someone who has already used it. If you pay for a plan and your account then moves back to the free plan, you will get another 14-day trial, unless the payment was refunded or disputed. You can subscribe to Starter or Pro for your whole account, paid monthly (€2.99/month and €5.99/month) or yearly (€30.72 and €61.44 a year). All prices include VAT. Starter keeps your name from expiring and raises the limits, and Pro raises them further (More subdomains, forwards, path rules and real mailboxes). Payments are processed by Stripe, and we do not store your card details. The subscription will renew automatically every month or every year, depending on the billing you choose, until you cancel. We will email you before each yearly renewal. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal in your panel, and your plan will stay active until the end of the period you already paid for. If you cancel or your plan lapses without payment, your account will move to the free plan with its limits. If you have more names than it includes, all of them will keep working for 15 days, then only the one you choose, and the rest will become read-only until they expire. Moving to a more expensive plan takes effect immediately and Stripe charges the prorated difference for the rest of the period you have already paid. Moving to a cheaper plan takes effect at the end of that period, so you keep what you are paying for until then and there is no refund. Your panel shows the date the new plan starts. Prices may change, and we will let you know before any change affects you.
4. right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from a Starter or Pro subscription within 14 days of the purchase, without giving any reason, and we refund the full amount by the same means of payment within 14 days of your request. The plan starts serving the moment you pay, and at checkout you agree to that immediate start; your withdrawal right stays intact. To withdraw, write to help@does.software from the email of your account saying that you withdraw from the contract (you may use the model form in Annex B of Directive 2011/83/EU, but you do not have to). After those 14 days, payments are non-refundable for periods already started, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise; you can still cancel the renewal at any time.
5. acceptable use
You may not use a subdomain for anything unlawful, nor for phishing, malware, spam, deceptive practices, impersonation, harassment, explicit sexual or pornographic content, or content that infringes another person's rights. This applies equally to what you host and to the destination you redirect to. You are solely responsible for the destination your subdomain points to and for any mail routed through it, and for ensuring that every destination you point at also complies with these rules. We may suspend or delete any subdomain that breaks them or that we reasonably believe harms the platform or its reputation.
6. personal data
We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms: the account data you give us, security logs (IP address, browser and country of every login, and upload logs of hosted sites), per-visit records of your subdomain (IP, browser, referrer and approximate location, kept for 90 days and visible only to administrators; as owner you see aggregated figures only), and the identifiers Stripe gives us for billing. We do not sell personal data. If your subdomain collects personal data from its own visitors (forms, mailboxes, tools you host), you are the controller of that data and must comply with the law yourself.
7. content moderation
Sites you publish and redirect targets you set go through automated checks (OpenAI's moderation service for text and images, Google Safe Browsing for URLs) and may also be reviewed by a person, either routinely or after a report. A publish that fails a check is blocked and you are told why. When we remove content, suspend a subdomain or restrict an account, we email you the reason and how to appeal, unless the law prevents it. You can appeal once from your panel or by writing to help@does.software; a person reviews every appeal. Anyone can report illegal content to abuse@does.software or from the subdomain itself at <name>.does.software/report.
8. suspension and removal
We may suspend, reclaim, or delete a subdomain, with or without prior notice, if it violates these terms, is left unused for an extended period, or must be freed for operational, legal, or security reasons. Where a suspension permits it, you may submit a single appeal from your panel, which we will review but are not obliged to grant.
9. no warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, a subdomain or the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under the law, including liability towards consumers for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
10. changes
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date shown above; for changes that affect a paid plan or reduce what you get, we email you at least 30 days in advance. Continuing to use your subdomain or account after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms; if you do not agree, stop using the service and you may request removal of your subdomain or account.
11. governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory protections of the country where you live, and any dispute may be brought before the courts of your own domicile. If you use the service as a business, the courts of Barcelona have exclusive jurisdiction.
12. Acceptable use of hosted sites (AUP)
Subdomains can serve a static website uploaded by their owner. By publishing content through does.software you agree NOT to use it for:
- Phishing or impersonation, pages that imitate another person, brand or service, or that collect credentials, payment details or personal data under false pretences.
- Malware or harmful code, distributing files or scripts designed to damage, hijack or covertly track visitors' devices or accounts.
- Illegal content, anything that violates applicable law, including content that infringes export, fraud or privacy regulations.
- Intellectual-property infringement, publishing material you don't have the rights to distribute.
- Spam and abusive SEO, doorway pages, link farms, cloaking or bulk-generated content designed to game search engines or flood inboxes.
- Sexual content involving minors, or extreme violence, zero tolerance; such content is removed and reported to the authorities where required.
We may remove content and suspend subdomains or accounts unilaterally and without prior notice when we believe this policy is being violated. Suspension of an account pauses every site it publishes. You are always told the reason and how to appeal, as described in section 7.
Notice and takedown: anyone can report a subdomain to abuse@does.software, from the subdomain itself at <name>.does.software/report, or through the in-product report endpoint. We review reports diligently and remove infringing content promptly. Counter-notices can be sent to the same address.
For security and abuse investigations we retain upload logs (who uploaded what, when, from which IP, and a fingerprint of the files) for the periods stated in our Privacy Policy.
13. AI-assisted development
Some of this service's code and documentation is written with the help of AI tools. We review that work before it goes live, and we stay responsible for it either way.
14. dispute resolution
If you are a consumer, before going to court you can raise the matter with us at help@does.software; we answer within one month. You may also turn to the consumer arbitration boards (Juntas Arbitrales de Consumo) or to the consumer office of your municipality or region. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform closed in July 2025 and is no longer available. None of this replaces your right to go to court.
15. copyright infringement notices
If you believe content hosted on a subdomain infringes your copyright, send a notice to abuse@does.software including: (a) a description of the copyrighted work; (b) the URL of the material you claim is infringing; (c) your contact details; (d) a statement, made in good faith, that the use is not authorized; and (e) a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf. We process these notices under the notice-and-action rules of the EU Digital Services Act and Spanish law, in a way also consistent with the U.S. DMCA, and remove or disable access to the reported material promptly. The affected user can submit a counter-notice disputing the removal through the same address, and we may restore the material unless the original complainant files a legal action. Accounts responsible for repeated, well-founded infringement claims will be suspended.
16. point of contact
Under the EU Digital Services Act our single point of contact, for users as well as for the authorities of the member states, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services, is abuse@does.software for reports of illegal content and help@does.software for everything else, in English, Spanish or Catalan.
