That subdomain can redirect visitors to any URL you want, forward the mail from addresses like you@word.does.software to the inbox you already use, or serve a small static site you upload in a ZIP.
No DNS records, no zone files and no MX headaches. You pick the word and the destinations, we take care of the rest.
Instantly, in most cases. The form checks availability as you type, and if the name is valid and free it will go live the moment you submit it, with nobody to wait for.
Sensitive names (Big brands, phishing-style words like "login" or "billing", institutional terms) will go through a short manual review. Pro accounts go first in the review queue.
Yes, both things at once. Set a destination URL, add forwarding addresses, or both, and change either one whenever you want from your panel. If you switch the name to static site mode, the site will take the redirect's place while it's active, and the mail will carry on the same.

You start on the free plan, no card. A few days after your first name goes live we may email you a free 14-day trial with web hosting and the Starter plan's analytics, which starts by itself the next time you sign in. There's one per account, and another one if you ever pay for a plan and move back to free.
The free plan brings one name you'll renew for free every 45 days, 1 email forward and 2 path redirects, with no mailboxes or web hosting. If you want more, you can pick a paid plan. The Starter plan costs €2.56/mo (Billed annually) or €2.99/mo month to month, and what it gives you is permanence, your name won't expire, and you'll have 10 email forwards, 10 path redirects, one 1 GB mailbox, web hosting on each name and, in the analytics, the 30-day chart, your most visited paths and your campaigns. The Pro plan costs €5.12/mo (Billed annually) or €5.99/mo month to month and raises the limits of the whole account: up to 3 subdomains, 20 email forwards and 30 path redirects on each name, 3 mailboxes of 3 GB with webmail per subdomain, a full year of daily charts, a breakdown of who visits you (Browser, system and device) and per-address mail figures in the analytics, and 300MB of static hosting per site.

Yes. On top of the main redirect, you can add path rules from your panel. Word.does.software/blog can go to one URL and word.does.software/shop to another. Paths match exactly and without case sensitivity, and the query string travels with the redirect.
A path without its own rule won't fall back to the main redirect, it will lead to an error page. The free plan includes 2 path redirects on each name, the trial 5, the Starter plan 10 and the Pro plan 30.

You can join its waitlist from the form itself. You leave an email and we'll tell you if the name frees up.
We never show who the owner of a name is or when it might expire. That's on purpose, to protect owners from people hunting for names about to expire. The owner only sees an anonymous count of how many people are waiting.
New name, in the header
The free plan and the trial include 1 subdomain. The Starter plan will keep that name forever, and the Pro plan covers your whole account and raises it to 3 names, each with its own redirects, forwards, mailboxes, site and analytics.
