Free email forwarding with your own name
you@yourname addresses, confirming the destination, limits
Full guideForwarding or mailbox: setting up email on your subdomainHow to set up a forward or a mailbox on your subdomain, step by step. What each one can do, its limits and which one suits you.You define addresses like you@word.does.software and point each one at a real inbox. Mail sent to those addresses will be forwarded, the rest will bounce.
Before a forward starts working, the destination inbox will get a confirmation email, and the forward will only start once they accept it.

Not with a forward, it only receives, so your replies will go out from your usual inbox. To send from you@word.does.software you need a real mailbox, and that comes with the Starter or the Pro plan.
A real mailbox is a full email account on your name, the mail is stored there and you get in over webmail or IMAP. It's explained in the mailboxes and webmail section.
Subdomains › Configure subdomain › Mailbox
One address per subdomain on the free plan, five during the trial, ten on the Starter plan and twenty with the Pro plan.
If you drop to a lower plan none of them will be deleted. The oldest ones will keep being served up to the new ceiling and the rest will be blocked, visible and editable in the panel but not delivering mail, until you're back on a plan that covers them. An expired or read-only name forwards none of them.
